Allie's Quest

About This Book

Seven days. Three impossible ingredients. One friend worth saving.

Allie is a young sorceress who would rather study storm magic than go to a party. Her best friend Bianca, an elf with a laugh like tinkling bells and the strongest magic of anyone her age, is exactly the opposite. So when Bianca falls mysteriously ill after a seaside celebration, and no healer in Gouldian Forest can say why, Allie's quiet world is turned upside down.

A witch in the bog offers a cure, but the potion needs three things Allie has never seen: an ice volet, the hoofprint of a raindeer, and the wish of a werewolf. She has seven days to find them.

With Chip, a tiny pink bird with a big appetite for honey, and Karina, a sharp-tongued werewolf who never wanted to come along, Allie sets out across a silent forest, a sun-scorched savannah, and a kingdom in the clouds reached only by the Train of Thought. Along the way she learns that the hardest magic to master is her own, and that friends can turn up where you least expect them.

But not everyone who offers help can be trusted, and the greatest danger may be waiting at the end of the journey.

Written by a young author with a vivid imagination and a sure sense of humour, Allie's Quest is a warm, fast-moving fantasy adventure about loyalty, courage, and the lengths we go to for the people we love.

Perfect for readers aged 8–12.
